The Verdict
Offeo is focused more on creating social media post videos, while Canva is an all-in-one designing platform where you can design more than just social media videos.
You can create logos, graphics, prints, posters, infographics, presentations, videos, websites, and more.
On the other hand, Offeo is just for making videos for social media and YouTube.
Comparing the price of the two softwares, Offeo is more expensive than Canva. Offeo offers 14 days money-back guarantee, and you can’t use it until you make the payment.
On the contrary, you can start using and trying Canva for Free without even signing up.
Since Canva is a bigger company than Offeo, it has more features and a bigger library of templates and other assets.
Maybe because it is newer software in the market, there is a lot of room for improvement in Offeo. For these obvious reasons, I recommend Canva over Offeo.

Offeo – A Brief Overview
Offeo was founded by two friends, Clement Chia and David Lee who are from Singapore.
It was launched in 2017, and they have 300,000 customers by 2022. The company is based in Singapore.
It is an easy-to-use social media video making software where you can make videos of any size suitable for social media posts.
You can also create product videos, presentations, promotional videos, etc.
If you are a freelance, entrepreneur, agency owner, designer, or marketer, Offeo is a great tool to have.
It is mostly focused on videos, but you can also create still designs like YouTube banners and thumbnails, still social media posts, presentations, etc.
It is not the best tool for creating designs for prints, though.
Canva – A Brief Overview
Canva is a big brother of Offeo. It was launched in 2013 and was founded by three Australians, Melanie Perkins, Cliff Obrecht, and Cameron Adams.
The company is valued at more than $40 billion, and it has over 80 million users from across the globe.
This shows that Canva is an older and bigger company than Offeo.
It is one of the most popular graphic designing tools out there. You can create almost anything related to graphics using this tool.
From logos to brochures, from social media posts to websites.
Some designers don’t like to use it because it is designed for beginners and people who don’t have any prior experience in designing.
As a designer myself, I have used it to try out and review the tool.
It saves a lot of time because of its prebuilt templates, but it is not as flexible as professional designing tools like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
I still use it to design presentations and pitch decks mostly now.
A Brief Comparison
The goals of Offeo and Canva are a bit different. Offeo’s goal is to just focus on social media videos for now and make designing for social media easy and fast.
On the other hand, Canva wants to dominate the design world by making design effortless, easy, and accessible for everyone.
Since Offeo is a newer and smaller company and its focus area is smaller than Canva, it has fewer features and assets than Canva for now.
More than just social media videos, you can create a logo, flyer, banner, poster, resume, invitation, business card, video intro, meme, presentation, graph, website, letterhead, planner, brochure, and more using Canva.
If we talk about just videos, Offeo has more and better features than Canva. That’s because it is designed specially to create videos primarily.
Canva’s video-making features are good too, but they are not good as Offeo’s.
1. Basic Features
Offeo can make social media video posts in just a few minutes. It has a big library of assets and more than 3000 video templates prebuilt by professional designers.
It provides access to over 3 million Shutterstock images/footages with 5000 plus high-quality music to use.
And you’ll also have access to a large number of fonts in 20 different languages, or you can upload your own custom fonts.
This software’s simple and clean user interface makes it easy to use yet powerful.
You can set your brand style and consistently create content for your business, which will help you build a strong brand.
It allows you to create videos in any suitable social media post size.
You can create them in square, vertical, or landscape formats based on your requirements.
They are a certified Facebook Business Partner, which will help you create ads that perform well on Facebook and Instagram.
The software’s preset animation styles will let you animate your elements in just one click. You can also remove the backgrounds of your images with just one click.
Canva allows you to create great visual content without any prior experience in design.
It allows you to choose any ready-made templates you like from its massive library of assets.
In this software, you can invite people or your teammates to edit, manage brand assets, leave feedback, get approvals and scale your visual content.
It has a bigger library of templates and other assets than Offeo, with thousands of free templates to choose from.
The categories of the template library consist of posters (portrait), logos, presentations (16:9), videos, flyers (portrait), Cards (landscape), Zoom virtual backgrounds, infographics, business cards, T-Shirts, Instagram stories, Instagram posts (square), resumes, brochures, invitations (square), desktop wallpapers, book covers, certificates (landscape), menus (portrait), letterheads, album covers, magazine covers, ID cards, newsletters, calendars, social graphics, photo collages, postcards, labels, and many more.
Also, these are all the things you can create using Canva.
Canva for Teams is a feature that allows you to collaborate with your team and work together. It’s the all-in-one solution for teams of any size.
Winner
In this part of the battle, Offeo is a little weaker than Canva. Being a gigantic software compared to Offeo, Canva has got a better and larger number of features, templates, and assets.
Even though Offeo is a stronger social media video-making tool, Canva’s greater number of great features makes it more powerful.
These things make Canva the winner of this part of the fight.
2. Ease of Use
Offeo is a tool designed to be used by people who don’t have any previous experience in design or video making.
Its minimal and simple user interface makes it look easy, clean, and less overwhelming.
The interface consists of four crucial sections: the artboard/canvas, toolbar, layers, and timeline.
The artboard/canvas is in the middle of the screen, and the essential tools are on the left side vertical bar of the artboard/canvas.
The bar has icons with the text of the tools.
They are Designs, Text, Graphics, Media, Background, Music, Upload, and Saved.
On the bottom of the artboard/canvas, there’s the timeline where you can see and manage everything that comes into the artboard.
And on the right side of the artboard/canvas, there are layers. This shows all the elements on the canvas on different layers.
The user interface of Canva is also very clean, minimal, and straightforward.
This kind of minimal and clean design makes users understand and learn the tools easier.
It is as equally easy to use as Offeo. Since both of them are designed to be used by beginners and people without any prior experience, they are very beginner-friendly to use.
Now let’s see what Canva’s user interface looks like.
A little similar to Offeo, it consists of four sections which are artboard/canvas, toolbar, tool display bar, and a timeline.
At the center of the interface, there is the artboard/canvas where your elements and graphics will be placed.
On the left side of it, there is the toolbar placed horizontally. It has icons with the names of all the essential tools.
Just next to the toolbar, there is the tool display bar which will show you the preview of the tool you have selected.
And at the bottom of the interface, there is a clean and minimally designed timeline.
Winner
Since Offeo and Canva are both equally super easy to use, this part of the battle will be a tie.
They are both designed mainly focusing on beginners with zero experience in designing and video making.
3. Tutorials
There are enough tutorials of Offeo available on the internet that you don’t have to worry about any problems or issues.
They have a YouTube channel where they share all the updates and tutorials consistently.
Other than the YouTube channel, they have a tutorial page on their website with all the essential tutorial videos to start using the software.
There are tutorials like Introducing to Offeo, Instagram Story Ads Masterclass, How to create Facebook 3D photo, and more.
They also have advanced tutorials for those who are one step ahead of beginners.
More than these tutorials, their blog is a useful place to learn about more than just Offeo.
Their blog posts consist of topics related to video making, video marketing, eCommerce, marketing, sales, video tips, and many more.
Their blog posts consist of interesting topics like The Complete Guide to YouTube Shorts, How to Start an Online Boutique, Best Open-source eCommerce Platforms, How To Edit Video On Instagram, and more.
Canva has a Youtube channel which is pretty big, where they share all the latest updates and essential tutorials.
They have a page on their website called Design School, where they have listed all the important tutorials and free courses.
Tutorials listed on the page are Canva for Beginners, Getting Started with Canva, Creating Videos with Canva, Teach with Canva, Create Websites with Canva, and many more. And the courses are Canva Pro for Nonprofits, Print Advertising, Canva Design Skills for Students, Typography and Layouts, Creating Logo, Canva on Your Mobile, Graphic Design Basics, etc.
They also have free events at least once a week, which is called Canva Events.
From these events, you can learn about the latest trends, tips, and tricks from industry experts and master Canva.
These events are all design, branding, content creation, and business related.
Some examples of the topics of the events are How Nonprofits can Make Change With Story Telling Techniques, Foundations of Graphic Design, Brand a Business: How to Design Brand Logo, Personality and More, etc.
Winner
Both of them have enough tutorials available out there; however, Canva has one extra thing that Offeo doesn’t have.
It has free events every month, which is another great way to learn about design, branding, and business.
This makes Canva the winner of this part of the battle.
4. Pricing
Offeo has a very simple and straightforward pricing plan. They call it One Pricing Plan.
Yes, they have only one pricing plan, which is $12.42 per month only if you pay annually – that’s $149 a year.
But if you pay monthly, it’s $19 a month, which is $228 a year. You’ll save 26% if you pay annually.
This package includes Unlimited High-Resolution Video Downloads, Unlimited High-Resolution Image Downloads, Unlimited Projects, Create Videos Up To 3 Mins, Curated Designer Templates, 100,000+ Royalty Free Stock Images/Footages, Up To 20GB Storage, More than 1000 Animated Graphic Assets, More than 1000 Commercially Licensed Music, 40 Remove Image Background Credits Per Month, Unlimited Brand Fonts And Colors, Upload Your Own Transparent Videos and Reseller License.
They are also giving an Ebook – 392 Proven Headlines To Increase Your Conversions ($80 Value) and Cheatsheet – 247 Powerful Words To Insanely Boost Your Conversion ($60 Value).
On the contrary, Canva technically has three plans in its pricing structure – Canva Free, Canva Pro, and Canva for Team.
As the name suggests, the first plan is free. In this plan, you’ll get access to everything to try out and start using Canva.
You’ll get more than 250,000 free templates and 100 plus types of designs like social media posts, presentations, letters, and more.
Additional to these, you’ll get access to more than 1 million free photos and graphics, a wide range of printable products to design and get delivered to your doorstep, 5GB of cloud storage, and access to invite others to design and work with.
The second plan – Canva Pro costs $12.99 per month if you pay monthly, which is 155.88 a year.
You’ll save 16% of this amount if you pay annually. And the final one – Canva for Team’s price is $14.99 per month if you pay monthly, which is $179.88 a year.
You’ll save the same 16% if you pay it annually.
Here, you’ll get access to more than 100 million stock photos, videos, audio, and graphics; unlimited features, folders, and premium content; brand controls to ensure your team’s designs stay on brand; designed for team collaboration with approval workflows, activity logging, assign tasks and roles and create dedicated folders for specific projects or departments.
You can also turn your team’s designs, presentations, and documents into branded templates; set which elements your team can edit, and stay on-brand with template locking; team reports and insights; pay as you grow, you’ll be able to reconcile costs for anyone who’s joined your team before each billing cycle; 1TB of cloud storage and 24/7 customer support.
Winner
As you can see above, Canva’s value of price is better than Offeo. And also, Canva’s pricing plan is more flexible.
Considering the features they provide and the price they’re charging, the winner is Canva in this part.
5. Customer Support
For customer support, Offeo has just email support.
You can email them at [email protected] if you have any issues or problems.
There’s no other way to contact them. They don’t have FAQs or any kind of common questions or queries listed somewhere on the website as Canva does.
I emailed their customer support just to check how long they take to get back, asking about some random payment thing.
I got a reply from them after about 15 hours, which is within 24 hours.
On the other hand, Canva’s customer support system is more organized and professional.
They have a page on their website called Help Center, where they have listed all the common queries and issues customers face.
The list consists of queries and questions regarding account setting, payments, pricing, billing, teams and groups, downloading, saving, sharing, Canva plans, print and delivery, editing and designing, etc.
They have 24/7 email support as well.
You can contact them and resolve your issues and problems through email if you can’t find your solution on the list of issues. You can mail them straight from their website.
They might sometime take 1 week to reply to your queries depending on the urgency of your issue.
Winner
Since Canva’s customer support has more options to resolve customers’ issues and problems, Canva will be the winner of this section.
Canva has multiple ways for customers to fix their issues and queries, whereas Offeo has only one way.
6. Videos and Designs Quality
The quality of videos and designs Offeo is exceptional. As a designer myself, I really like their design quality.
All the templates look premium and professionally designed. You can easily make social media video ads similar to those ads by big companies like Nike, Ikea, and Amazon.
Canva’s video and template design quality are equally as good as Offeo’s.
The templates and all the assets’ quality is exceptionally premium, and all the designs are stunning.
Some of the examples of videos made by Offeo and Canva are below.
a. Videos created by Offeo
b. Videos created by Canva
Winner
This part of the battle between Offeo and Canva will be a tie because the videos and design quality of both of them are equally great.
Final Thoughts
Offeo and Canva are two very effective and useful softwares; however, they have their own benefits and drawbacks.
Offeo is good just for creating social media videos and posts.
On the other hand, Canva allows you to create almost everything related to design, more than just videos.
So, is Offeo better than Canva? Or is Canva better than Offeo?
Which tool is the right one for you?
Well, it depends on your requirements. It depends on what you want to create.
Use Offeo if
- You want to create just social media videos and graphics
- You want a software that is just focused on social media video-making
- You want a high-quality and easy-to-use software to make mostly videos
Use Canva if
- You need to create more than just videos
- You want an affordable and flexible pricing option
- You want a complete design software for your business
